  About us
We are currently 3 guys who came to Peru to have a little fun, adventure, learn Spanish, and do our part to improve the world. What happened was we saw a huge place of need, and along with the need, a great opportunity to begin a solution.  As each of us started off as volunteers in Peru, in projects that we are working to support, we came to realize what great things that volunteers and the project and organizations they work for can accomplish, with a little support.  These organizations and projects often have great goals, but acquiring much of the finances necessary can be difficult, particularly in these poor countries. Additionally, volunteering is not cheap for most, especially considering air ticket costs and that many volunteers are students or recent graduates.   For these reasons we have created Volunteer Cause.  It started as simple volunteer party to raise funds to provide a decent Christmas treat for the poor children of one project, evolved into an exciting idea, and has now been born into existence, and hopefully a successful one!

Adrian Duffy
Adrian, 25 from Cork, Ireland, is a graduate of Computer Science from the University College Cork. After graduating he traveled to New Zealand, and worked there for a year in IT. He set up a web development company IT4today with Stephen, and worked on various projects. He always had a love for helping people, and tired to involve himself as much as possible in charity events. After New Zealand, he backpacked through Australia and New Zealand with Stephen, here they gathered numerous ideas how to help people. He returned home  where he worked for 6 months, and then traveled to Peru to volunteer and to learn Spanish. Here he found his love for helping the needy, and making a real difference. He extended his stay, and met Shaun, and started Volunteer Cause.

Shaun Truelove
Shaun, 22, is from Wisconsin, U.S.A. and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Biology.  He intends to continue his education, obtaining medical degree and pursuing his goal of becoming a surgeon.  With an eventual dream to work as a physician and surgeon throughout the globe, Shaun came to Cusco, Peru, to broaden his experiences volunteering in both a poor medical center, and a project for street children of Cusco.  Both projects have opened his eyes to the great need there is in Peru and in many countries throughout the world.

Street Children
One of our main aims is to help these kids and to give them a future. Aged between 5 and 15,these kids must work to sell handcrafts throughout the night, some until 6am, and then try to go to school the next day.   There are many projects we would like to support that work hard to help these children live better lives and have more promising futures.  Check out our Causes page to read more about the different issues that we hope to help improve.
